This year, Moscow has experienced a warm winter once in a century. Russian experts believe that this may be caused by global warming, which may lead to the complete disappearance of Arctic ice.

Accoding to the data from the University of East Anglia, the global temperature has increased by 1 ℃ in the past 100 years, and the temperature of the air above the land is much higher than that above the sea, which occurs at a rate of 0.2 ℃ in 10 years. In Russia, the figure is much higher, with the Arctic warming 3.5 times faster than the global average. If it goes on like this, with the increase of temperature, the ozone layer will be destroyed, the water level of the world's oceans will rise, the snow will decrease, and the ice in the Arctic region may completely disappear.

But perewejianzev pointed out that it was not necessary to think of it as "the end of the world". 6000 years ago, the global average temperature was 1.5 ℃ higher than now, but life did not die. The Vikings discovered Greenland 1000 years ago, when there was no ice in the sea, where settlements formed and began to disappear during the ice age.
